Motorcyclist Killed in Hit and Run on US1 in Brevard County

Troopers are looking for the driver who hit and killed a motorcyclist late Sunday night in a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 1 in Brevard County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened south of Orbiter Court just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers said a 61-year-old man was riding a 2025 Jiang Zhon motorcycle northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 1 when an unknown vehicle hit the back of his motorcycle. As a result, the 61-year-old man was thrown off his bike.

The driver who hit him fled the scene in their car, troopers say.

The 61-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The FHP says it has no information on the vehicle involved or its driver.

Callers can stay anonymous.

The crash is under investigation.
