SUV crashes into 2 motorcycles in hit-and-run on Dunlawtown Avenue in Port Orange

A hit-and-run crash on Tuesday evening left one motorcyclist in the hospital, according to the Port Orange Police Department.

Police said that the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. near the 1700 block of Dunlawton Avenue.

At the time, an unidentified SUV struck two motorcyclists in the westbound lanes of Dunlawton Avenue before fleeing the scene, police added.

“As a result of the crash, one of the motorcyclists was transported to the hospital as a trauma alert,” the release reads.

Police are investigating the crash.
