'I just can't believe it': One person found dead after Osceola County shed fire

While Osceola County Fire Rescue was fighting a fire at a scrap yard on Thursday, they were called out to another fire about five minutes down the road.

It was a shed fire in the area of Orange Vista Boulevard.

“We came out here and saw nothing but smoke coming from the back,” said Thomas Peters, who lives in the neighborhood.

Osceola County Fire Rescue said it was a shed fire and they were able to get it out quickly. But tragically, they said a person was found dead inside.

No one WESH 2 talked to in the neighborhood knew the family well who lived there. But said more than one person lived in the home, and they’re devastated by their loss.

“My heart is broken,” Said neighbor Marilyn Faust. “I just can’t believe it.”

Osceola County Fire Rescue said the fire marshal was called in to investigate Thursday night.
