DeSoto County deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of NE Tilstra Drive near NE County Road 660 on Friday afternoon.
According to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and detectives were called to the DeSoto Memorial Hospital after a male with multiple gunshot wounds arrived at the facility. The victim is in stable condition at this time, the sheriff’s office said.
A male suspect was taken into custody after investigators responded to the scene of the shooting.
DCSO said a search warrant is being executed, and this is an ongoing investigation with updates forthcoming as they become available.
The ages of the suspect and the victim have not been released.
