A driver died after crashing into a pole in Seminole County on Tuesday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred on Chuluota Road and Crooked Oak Road in the Oviedo area.

The vehicle involved was a Chevrolet SUV, traveling southbound on County Road 419 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pole.

The impact caused the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames, according to FHP.

FHP said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area while the investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
