A bicyclist was killed after a crash with a pickup truck in Charlotte County on Monday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9 a.m. on southbound Duncan Road at Calle Bonito.
A black Ford pickup truck and a bicyclist were involved in the crash, which left the cyclist dead.
FHP said the bicyclist was an 85-year-old woman from Punta Gorda.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene while deputies placed evidence markers on the truck and the ground as part of the death investigation.
Damage was visible on the front pickup, including the front driver’s headlight.
