The Florida Highway Patrol said one person has died following a hit and run traffic crash, Wednesday morning.
Troopers said the crash happened at US-41, north of Constitution Boulevard, in Fort Myers.
Investigators are looking for an unknown car – possibly two – that hit an adult on the travel lanes of
northbound US 41.
That person was transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased.
Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to contact Crimestoppers or FHP.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said it is investigating a crash on Tamiami Trail and Constitution Boulevard, Wednesday morning.
LCSO was able to confirm injuries, but not the severity nor how many people are involved.
They said they were called around midnight.
There is a road closure in the northbound lane of US-41, as of 4:30 a.m. We have a team headed there to learn more.
