Woman beaten, dragged across Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach, deputies say

A man is wanted after deputies said he was caught beating, chasing and dragging a woman across Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach on Thursday.

In a release, the sheriff’s office said a deputy saw the incident as it was happening and stepped in, but the man — identified as SGK — took off running.

However, K also left behind his bag, revolver, methamphetamine and fentanyl, deputies added.

Body-worn camera footage shows a deputy asking the woman where she was hurt.

“My face,” she says.

The deputy can then be heard saying that her chin looked “a little cut up.”

“He turned her around, and he was dragging her,” another deputy states.

Now, K is wanted and faces charges of trafficking fentanyl, kidnapping, battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and more, the release shows.

Anyone who sees K or has information about his whereabouts is urged to call 911.
