There will be an increased law-enforcement presence at Lake Weir High School on Friday after a man was found shot nearby, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies located the man while responding around 5:45 a.m. to the area of Oak Lane and Locust Pass Trail, the sheriff’s office said on social media.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the post states.
