A 22-year-old man was killed and several others were injured in a Saturday night crash on Jacksonville’s Westside.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old driver and the 22-year-old passenger were riding west on 103rd Street in a BMW sedan around 9:15 p.m.
As the vehicle approached the Ricker Road intersection, FHP said, a Chevrolet Impala with a 72-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man inside attempted to make a left turn onto Ricker Road.
The Chevrolet collided with the front of the BMW. The impact caused the BMW to hit a concrete pole, according to troopers.
The 17-year-old boy suffered critical injuries, and the 22-year-old passenger died.
The 72-year-old woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The 68-year-old man suffered minor injuries.
