Man accused of fatally shooting girlfriend in Brevard County, sheriff says

A man is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend on Sunday in Brevard County, according to Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

Sheriff Ivey said the investigation began after deputies responded to multiple calls for service around 12:15 p.m. regarding shots fired in the 7000 block of Carlow Ave., Port St. John.

According to a news release, deputies found a woman – later identified as 28-year-old L. L. – suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Ivey said that investigators determined that 23-year-old T. B., the victim’s boyfriend, was “responsible for the shooting.”

According to the release, deputies located B. at a residence on Dallas Avenue in Port St. John where he was immediately taken into custody without incident.

Ivey said that B. faces charges of first-degree murder after an arrest warrant was signed following the initial investigation.

He is currently being held in the Brevard County jail without bond.

Anyone who may have additional information in reference to this investigation is asked to contact Agent Kevin Morris of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Homicide Unit at (321) 633-8413.
