The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that happened just after midnight on Sunday on State Road 85 near the Shoal River Bridge.
Troopers said a 35-year-old man from Crestview was driving an SUV when it left the roadway.
He was the only person in the vehicle and died at the scene. FHP said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
No other vehicles were involved.
