Man hospitalized after being shot in Pompano Beach

 A man was shot Thursday night in Pompano Beach, the Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

According to a BSO spokesperson, the shooting was reported shortly after 9 p.m. in the2800 block of Northwest Seventh Street.

BSO deputies and Pompano Beach Fire Rescue personnel responded to the scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment.

BSO’s Violent Crimes and Crime Scene units responded to investigate.

No other details were immediately released.
