The Lee County Sheriff’s office told Gulf Coast News that the Fire Marshall investigated the fire and deemed it suspicious.
They add that detectives arrested one person in relation to the fire, and that all patients at the SalusCare facility are back in the building.
Crews responded to a fire that broke out at the SalusCare facility along Deer Run Farms Road in Lee County.
According to the South Trail Fire Protection and Rescue Service District, fire sprinklers were activated to hold it in the area of origin. Fire officials said the fire is out, but there’s smoke and water damage to the facility.
No injuries were reported, and facility workers initiated evacuations before firefighters arrived, according to South Trail Fire.
The fire marshal/fire investigator is investigating the incident.
