Woman dies after being ejected from vehicle during crash on I-4: Florida Highway Patrol 

One person is dead after a crash on I-4 early Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol announced.

Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of I-4 near milemarker 14 around 2:15 a.m.

According to FHP, a Subaru Outback, driven by a 31-year-old Brandon man, was traveling westbound when he lost control of the vehicle, entering the north shoulder and flipping several times before hitting a tree and a fence.

As the vehicle overturned, a passenger, a 30-year-old Brandon woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.

The 30-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
