Police search for driver wanted in fatal Fort Lauderdale hit-and-run

Police in Fort Lauderdale are searching for a hit-and-run driver.

The incident happened on Monday at approximately 8 p.m. along the 400 block of West Sunrise Boulevard.

According to police, officers responded to find a pedestrian in the street who had been struck by a vehicle that did not stop.

Police said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities have not provided any information on the suspect vehicle.
