40-year-old woman dead following crash in Gulf County

A 40-year-old woman has died following a crash in Gulf County Saturday.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of a pickup truck was traveling westbound on County Road 381 when she drove off the roadway.

Troopers say when trying to get back on the road, she overcorrected, causing the truck to flip multiple times.

The 40-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene upon arrival of Gulf County EMS.

We’re told the passenger of the pickup sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local emergency room for treatment.
