One person is dead after a crash involving an SUV and two motorcycles in Port Charlotte on Sunday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the scene of a crash at US-41 and Centennial Boulevard at around 4 p.m.

FHP said that an SUV was making a left turn from a stop sign on Centennial Boulevard, attempting to cross all the lanes of US-41.

Two motorcycles were traveling south on US-41 when the SUV attempted the turn, violating the right-of-way of the two motorcycles, FHP said.
