A person is dead after being struck by a train in West Palm Beach on Tuesday.
According to the West Palm Beach Police Department, the incident involved a Tri-Rail and occurred at about 6:10 p.m. along Old Okeechobee Road near the Howard Community Park.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a person near the tracks who had sustained fatal injuries.
The incident is under investigation, the West Palm Beach Police Department says.
