A woman in Gainesville faces felony assault charges after Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies say she threatened a girl with an axe.
According to the arrest report, C M, 45, forced her way into the victim’s bedroom by breaking the door handle.
The victim told deputies that M said she was going to use the axe to kill her. M grabbed the girl by the throat and hit the victim with her hand many times until deputies arrived.
M denied making the threats. She told deputies she was tired of the victim disrespecting her.
M was booked into the Alachua County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse. Her bond was set at $20,000.
