Child dies after being left in a vehicle for unknown amount of time in Winter Haven: WHPD

A child has died after being left in a vehicle in Winter Haven for an unknown amount of time, according to Winter Haven Police Department Public Information Officer (PIO) Jaime Brown.

Officials said police and fire responded to a home at Ave N NW involving an infant left inside a vehicle at around 3:50 p.m. on March 31.

When crews arrived, they started life-saving measures and transported the child to the hospital.

The PIO later said the child had died.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
