Smoke poured from the roof of a home on Oberry Hoover Road in Orlando on Sunday morning, leaving the house charred and melted.
“There was smoke so bad that I could hardly see my trees in my front yard,” said Tim Rounds, a neighbor who lives next door.
Rounds said he woke up around 7:45 a.m. to the sound of screaming.
“I looked out my window, and there was smoke everywhere,” he said. “There was flames coming from the back porch roof.”
Rounds expressed his sorrow for his neighbors who were left without a home this Easter.
“I’m sorry for them, but fires are one of those things you have to be aware of all the time,” he said.
WESH 2 News has reached out to Orange County Fire to see if anyone was injured and how the fire started. We are waiting to hear back.
