A driver struck and injured multiple Miami-Dade deputies as he fled a traffic stop Wednesday, sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies responded after 7 p.m. to the area of Southwest 184th Street and 122nd Avenue for a traffic stop involving a wanted suspect, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
As deputies tried to detain the driver, the subject fled, striking them, officials said.
A pursuit ensued and ended near the Florida Turnpike and Southwest 40th Street.
Two male subjects were taken into custody, and a female was released, officials said. Charges are pending.
The deputies sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene
No other injuries were reported.
