Woman escapes Jeep after crashing into pond off I-4, FHP says

A woman escaped her Jeep after it ran off Interstate 4 and into a pond near Maitland Boulevard early Wednesday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened just before 2 a.m. when the woman hit a pole on the exit ramp to Maitland Boulevard before her vehicle ended up in the water.

The driver was not hurt, and crews were able to tow her Jeep out of the pond.
