An 18-year-old from Louisiana was arrested for fleeing and eluding deputies after a hit-and-run collision in Escambia County on Thursday.
The Florida Highway Patrol says Peyton Jackson of Darrow was driving a silver Honda sedan with an expired tag. Deputies attempted a traffic stop.
According to FHP, Jackson fled from deputies. This led to a hit-and-run crash involving a white Hyundai sedan near the intersection of Mobile Highway and Massachusetts Avenue at approximately 4:38 p.m.
Deputies found Jackson on Massachusetts Avenue. That’s where he was arrested.
FHP also arrested Jackson for the hit-and-run with property damage and driving with no valid driver’s license.
No one was injured, FHP says.
