One person is facing criminal charges in Destin after a road rage incident ended feet away from an Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office substation.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, a crash occurred on Thursday feet away from the Stahlman Substation. Deputies became aware after hearing the collision.

Deputies say a driver of a Nissan was attempting to get away from the Jeep during a road rage incident.

Authorities say that while trying to drive away, the Nissan driver took a turn at Stahlman Ave and Mountain Dr. at about 50 miles per hour, when the vehicle lost control and crashed.

OCSO officials say the Jeep driver continued chasing the Nissan driver and exited his vehicle, physically removing the Nissan driver.

OCSO urges drivers to call 911 to report road rage and aggressive driving and not to engage other drivers.

Officials say the incident had not been reported to law enforcement for miles while it was ongoing.
