According to Pembroke Pines Police, westbound traffic at 83rd Avenue and Pines Boulevard has been shut down because of the crash.

A crash in Pembroke Pines on Sunday sent a woman and her 11-year-old son to the hospital, her husband said.

NBC6 cameras captured two cars that were involved in the crash.

A man told NBC6 that his wife and their 11-year-old son were going westbound down Pines Boulevard near Southwest 83rd Avenue when they were hit by another driver.

The man said his wife’s SUV was flipped over twice, and she and their son were rushed to the hospital.

He said they are doing okay.

The other driver involved in the crash was also taken to the hospital. Their condition was not known.

Traffic at 83rd Avenue and Pines Boulevard has since reopened.
