Tampa police searching for driver in deadly hit-and-run

Police are searching for the driver who hit and killed a man early Sunday morning.

According to the Tampa Police Department, officers responded to a hospital just after 5 a.m. after reports that a man was hit by a car near the intersection of N. Armenia Ave. and E. Hamilton Ave.

The man later died from his injuries.

Police are now searching for the driver of the vehicle. Police said detectives “would like to talk to the driver of the vehicle to determine what, if anything, they may know about the incident.” 

Officers ask anyone with information related to this investigation to call TPD at 813-231-6130 and refer to report 26-336350.
