A 20-year-old Flomaton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Escambia County.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. in the 1100 block of Fannie Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man lost control of his car, left the roadway, hit a tree, went through a metal fence and hit another tree. The car came to a final rest on its side, leaning against a house.
“The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected,” FHP says in a release. “He was pinned under the car.”
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
