A major multi-vehicle crash is slowing the Thursday morning commute in Martin County, with drivers along I-95 already seeing heavy backups.

According to Florida 511, the crash happened on June 18, just after 8 a.m., on I-95 northbound at Mile Marker 103. As of the latest update at 8:07 a.m., two right lanes remain blocked, and the incident is being classified as major.

Traffic camera images from the area show congestion quickly building behind the crash, with vehicles stacking up as crews work to clear the scene. Motorists heading through the Treasure Coast during the busy morning drive should expect delays.

A Road Ranger is on site assisting, and officials are urging drivers to use caution as they approach. Under Florida’s “Move Over or Slow Down” law, drivers must either switch lanes away from stopped emergency or service vehicles or reduce their speed if moving over isn’t possible.

There is still no word on injuries or exactly how many vehicles were involved.

For now, anyone traveling northbound through Martin County should plan for a slower ride and consider alternate routes if possible as the morning commute continues to be impacted.
