Video shared with WESH 2 News shows a driver running a teen on a bike off the road and then slapping him after the teen confronts her in Lake Nona.

This all unfolded Friday afternoon near Laureate Park, according to one of the teens involved.

“Get the (expletive) out the way now,” the woman could be heard in the video yelling at the teen during a confrontation between the two after the incident.

WESH 2 spoke with several parents to find out what happened leading up to this. According to one parent, who does not want to be identified, the teens were trying to get the woman to pull over after the teens claimed she was swerving and almost hit one of them. This hasn’t yet been confirmed by Orlando police.

Officers impounded several of the teens’ bikes because they were not street legal, according to parents.

Rick Martindale, an attorney representing the teen slapped in the video, sent WESH 2 the following statement:

“Our client, a 15-year-old boy, was struck and forced off the road by a driver this afternoon in Lake Nona. He is recovering in the hospital. Because he is a minor and this matter is under active investigation, we will not be providing further comment at this time.”

WESH 2 has reached out to Orlando police to learn more about the incident and whether anyone was cited or charged.
