Lake Mary man killed after pickup truck overturns in Orlando crash

A 50-year-old Lake Mary man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning after his pickup truck went off the road and overturned on Orange Blossom Trail, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened just after midnight on Orange Blossom Trail near Grand Street.

Investigators said the man was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup truck southbound on Orange Blossom Trail when he traveled off the right side of the road and onto the sidewalk.

The pickup truck then hit a concrete post before running into a traffic control sign, FHP says. The truck overturned in the crash.

The driver was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
