Man killed after ‘dispute’ in industrial area near Allapattah leads to gunfire

Miami-Dade deputies investigated a fatal shooting on Monday evening just outside of the Miami city limits.

It happened along Northwest 38th Street, near 33rd Avenue, in an industrial area near Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, two men were in a “dispute” when one took out a gun and shot the other.

The victim, who deputies identified on Tuesday as Raul Aballa, 41, was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detective Argemis Colome, an MDSO spokesperson, said the suspect “fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.”

“Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident,” Colome said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
