LaBelle firefighters battle fire involving three boats near Riverbend Drive

Crews with the LaBelle Fire Department, along with the Clewiston and Bayshore Fire Departments, battled a fire involving three boats at the Belle Hatchee Marina on Sunday.

Crews say that the fire has since been put out.

Video that a viewer sent in shows dark plumes of smoke billowing from the fire. The owner of one of the boats told Gulf Coast News that he is getting ready to pay tens of thousands of dollars to get his vessel repaired.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
