1 dead, 1 injured in double motorcycle crash in Orlando, troopers say

A 45-year-old man was killed and another man injured after two motorcycles crashed on Innovation Way early Sunday morning.

A man is dead, another injured, after an early-morning crash in Orlando, the Florida Highway Patrol says.

Two men were riding on Innovation Way right near South Alafaya Trail above the speed limit, when they lost control on a turn around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. That’s when a 45-year-old man from Haines City was thrown from his motorcycle, hit a fence, and died, an FHP report states.

The other man, a 34-year-old from Orlando, was also thrown from his motorcycle, and went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

The crash is under investigation.
