Lanes of I-95 North reopen between SR 16 and IGP in St. Johns County after multi-vehicle crash

Emergency crews were on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on I-95 North at mile marker 320 Thursday afternoon.

Traffic backups began around 5:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes.

By 7:10 p.m., some cars were getting by, but backups stretched for several miles.

Lanes were reopened by 9:30 p.m., but the right shoulder remained blocked.

The crash was between State Road 16 and International Golf Parkway.

According to St. Johns County Fire Rescue, three people were transported with minor injuries.

SJCFR also says the crash involved multiple semi-trucks, cars and a tour bus.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to seek an alternate route.
