Drivers see back-to-back traffic delays on US 231 Friday morning

Drivers heading Southbound on US 231 have seen traffic delays for hours Friday morning.

As of 10:00 a.m., officials say all lanes have reopened.

Around 9:00 a.m., the Bay County Traffic Management Center alerted drivers of an obstruction, two cranes closing the northbound inside lane.

Earlier this morning, the Bay County Traffic Management Center shared that the US 231 & E 26th St. Southbound inside lane and median were blocked following a traffic crash and emergency personnel on scene.

Hours prior, Southbound US 231 north of 23rd St., the outside lane was blocked due to construction.
