A Lee County man is accused of violating his probation following an arrest for DUI and causing multiple car crashes.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, M, 25, was driving with a BAC over three times the legal limit when he crashed into the back of a stopped car at a traffic light. Instead of staying at the scene of the crash, M continued driving.
Deputies spotted M and attempted to pull him over, but said he then accelerated to speeds of over 90 mph, weaving in and out of traffic to evade deputies.
M then crashed into another car before ditching his vehicle in an apartment complex and running, Crime Stoppers said. A K9 tracked and located M, and he was arrested.
It was discovered that M had a warrant related to a previous arrest for lewd and lascivious behavior on a child. He was found guilty of DUI and related charges and placed on probation, which he recently violated, Crime Stoppers said.
M has three previous arrests for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, hit-and-run, fleeing and eluding and resisting arrest.
