Police are investigating a shooting that they said left one man injured and a woman detained in northwest Miami-Dade on Monday.
It happened near the 900 block of Northwest 150th Street in the county’s Golden Glades area.
Miami-Dade police said after responding to a shooting call, officers found a man with apparent gunshot wounds.
Authorities said medics with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Aventura Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Detective Angel Rodriguez, an MDPD spokesman, said a woman was detained at the scene and detectives are investigating her involvement in the incident.
“Preliminary information suggests the incident is domestic-related, though the exact nature of the familial ties is currently unknown,” Rodriguez wrote.
Police did not disclose a motive for the shooting nor did they release any information on the victim or culprit’s age or identity.
