A Florida Atlantic University (FAU) student is accused of stealing a golf cart from the football stadium and crashing it into a concrete ball.
According to the suspect, 20-year-old GC of Colorado, he stole the golf cart on Tuesday at 1 a.m. with his roommate and friends after finding a key located next to it.
C admitted to hitting the concrete ball and causing approximately $2,000 in damages to the golf cart, according to the Florida Atlantic University Police Department (FAUPD).
After the crash, C said his friends headed back to their dorms while he parked the banged up golf cart where he found it.
In addition to the golf cart damages, the Assistant Director of facilities at FAU told police the damage to the concrete ball would cost $300 to repair.
