Pedestrian dies from injuries 10 days after collision in Lake Worth

A man has died from the injuries he sustained in a crash in Lake Worth 10 days ago.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said JJ, 37, was crossing he intersection of Jog Road and Lantana Road when he was hit by a 2023 Toyota Corolla on February 28, just before 10:30 p.m.

The crash report stated that J was not in a crosswalk and violated the right of way, the impact projected J onto the hood and into the windshield of the vehicle before he landed on the rear part of the roof and came to rest in the right lane.

J was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but succumbed to those injuries on Monday. PBSO said J was homeless but were able to notify his next of kin.
