A bicyclist was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night on US-41 in San Carlos Park, and deputies are searching for the driver.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a red Chevrolet Camaro hit the bicyclist around 9 p.m. before turning from US-41 onto Sanibel Boulevard without stopping.
The vehicle has passenger-side damage and is missing a mirror.
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No further details about the victim have been released.
