Firefighters saved a person trapped inside a mobile home that had caught on fire Monday night, the St. Petersburg Fire Rescue announced.
Crews responded to a mobile home on fire in the Village Green Mobile Home Park on Monday at 8:32 p.m.
Reports indicated flames and heavy smoke were coming from the home and a person was trapped inside.
Firefighters quickly began a primary search and found the victim inside the home before they were rescued.
According to SPFR, crews declared a trauma alert and Sunstar Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital for emergency medical care alongside two paramedics with the St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.
The fire was brought under control, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
