ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A 45-year-old male bicyclist was critically injured in a crash Saturday afternoon in Cottage Hill.
The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on Crowndale Court when the bicyclist collided with the side of a Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck that reportedly pulled out from a private residence, according to NorthEscambia.com
The injured bicyclist was airlifted by Air Care helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola as a trauma alert.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and has not released further details.
