A 30-year-old Pensacola man was fatally hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on U.S.-98 W Highway 98, west of Amberwood Drive around 1:20 a.m., according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a 21-year-old Pensacola man driving a sedan in that area was in the inside lane when a pedestrian crossed the roadway. The 30-year-old man was traveling south from the right shoulder.
According to troopers, the pedestrian made an improper cross into the path of the sedan. The front portion of the 21-year-old’s sedan hit the pedestrian.
EMS pronounced 30-year-old was dead. His family was notified.
