Attorney Ovadia Speaks for Florida Chiropractic Physician Association Seminar

Table of Contents

Attorney Abraham Ovadia, the founder of Ovadia Law Group, PA in Boca Raton, was recently featured as a key speaker at The Nationwide Summer 2017 Schedule for the Florida Chiropractic Physician Association (FCPA) in Orlando. Mr. Ovadia was invited to give to dissertations on August 12th, the first titled Ethical Boundaries Doctors Should Avoid and the second titled FL Law Updates to Florida PIP Law. From all of us at Ovadia Law Group, we would like to thank the FCPA for allowing Attorney Ovadia this great opportunity and honor.

The Florida Chiropractic Physician Association is committed to the full integration of chiropractic physicians into the state’s healthcare system. Without this integration, many patients are unable to see chiropractors and get the treatments they need to recover from back, spine, and neck injuries. The schedule of seminars and dissertations was open primarily to chiropractic physicians (DC) and certified chiropractic assistants (CPPA), allowing them to gain new and useful information pertinent both to their practice and the laws surrounding it.

Ethical Boundaries Doctors Should Avoid highlighted a sensitive subject that physicians of all practices, not just chiropractors, need to keep in mind whenever working with a patient or handling patient-related tasks. Medical practice must always be carried out with an utmost standard of care to protect both the health of the patient and the patient’s rights and privacy. Through this discussion, Attorney Ovadia was able to make it clearer for the practitioner’s in attendance where the ethical boundaries lie, and why it is so important to never overstep them.

FL Law Updates to Florida PIP Law was another keynote dissertation for the entire seminar. Florida’s personal injury protection (PIP) laws often make it difficult to interpret liability in accidents and to understand where compensation or reimbursement will originate. This course hosted by Attorney Ovadia touched upon PIP lawsuits and how they relate to the average motor vehicle accident in the state.
