Bell man dies in ATV accident.

A Bell man died Wednesday afternoon when the ATV he was driving collided with a tractor trailer.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident occurred at 1:36 p.m. north of Bell in Gilchrist County.

A 51-year-old Bell man was driving an ATV west on NW 87th Place and did not stop at the stop sign at U.S. Highway 129. He entered the intersection and struck the left side of a tractor trailer traveling north on U.S. 129.

First responders pronounced the man dead on the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer, a 37-year-old man from Camilla, Georgia, was wearing a seatbelt and suffered no injuries.

FHP is still investigating the incident.
