A bicyclist was struck by a car at Dearborn Street and Indiana Avenue on Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Emergency responders with Englewood Area Fire Control, along with Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Sarasota County Emergency Services, secured the Englewood Plaza parking lot for a Bayflite helicopter landing.
The medevac crew landed in the lot and flew the patient to a trauma center.
Officials said the coordinated response across agencies helped provide fast, safe care in a time-sensitive emergency.
