Bicyclist killed after crash in Palm Springs

A 44-year-old man was struck and killed in a crash while riding his bicycle late Thursday night.

The Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) said the deadly crash occurred on May 7 at around 11 p.m. on Forest Hill Boulevard, west of South Congress Avenue.

Following an initial investigation, police said the bicyclist was struck by a silver Chevrolet Cruze while in the center lane. Authorities have stated that the driver of the car did not appear to be impaired. The identity of the bicyclist is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
