Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded to a boat fire on Wednesday.

Fire rescue said it received a call around 11:30 a.m. regarding a boat fire. Three passengers on a 52-foot catamaran noticed a burning smell when they decided to call fire rescue.

Fire rescue said at some point, a fire started for reasons unknown. Fire rescue transported one person to Boca Raton Regional Hospital for unrelated injuries.

No firefighters or personnel were injured.

Along with Boca Raton Fire Rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident. The fire was put out and cause of the fire is under investigation.
